Good As Gold is a training centre which specializes in K-9 psychology and how this interacts with human psychology.
Our teaching methods are positive and fun, and give you and your dog new ways to understand each other and work together.
We train all breeds and ages of dogs starting with puppies 8 weeks of age and find our one on one attention and small class
sizes are key to successful learning.

We specialize in obedience and agility classes, problem behaviours, dog and puppy socialization.
Classes are available days, evenings, and weekends and our programs range from the very basic to advanced.

Whether you want to get your new puppy off to the best start in life or teach your old dog new tricks, our instructor will help you build a strong relationship based on trust and mutual respect. We value family participation and welcome your children as agility students.

Our goal is to enrich the bond shared by you and your K-9 companion; for you to be proud and confident; for him to be outgoing, stimulated and well socialized; and for both of you to be having a whole lot of fun together!

Being Prepared for Your Class

 Registration Form /Waiver

Please print and complete the Registration form linked here.
Intended for new students, we would also appreciate this be completed by existing students as a way for us to update the information in our files.

Proof of Vaccination
Please present a copy of your pet's latest vaccination certificate or record of titres.
Ideally we would appreciate you bringing a photocopy or scan that we may keep with our records.

 Leash & Collar
Bring the leash and collar your pet is currently using and if something more appropriate is required, recommendations will be made at class.
E-collars and choke chain collars will not be allowed.

 Training Treats
We recommend a soft good quality treat, i.e. cheese or small cubes of meat. Retail outlets i.e. Queensville Farm Supply and Global Pet Stores carry some very nutritious treats. Toys may also be used as a reward.

Training Pouch You will need to have either a training pouch or be wearing clothing with DEEP pockets for carrying training treats or toys. Deep pockets prevent distracting spills.
 Footwear
Sneakers/running shoes with a good tread are the best option for agility. Bare feet when outdoors is acceptable. Do not wear sandals, flip-flops or crocs, or heels as these can be dangerous.
Attitude  Most importantly.....bring a Happy and Positive Attitude!
We look forward to seeing you soon
